Quote:No this is certainly not a democratic forum, it is run by ChessPublishing.com, mostly for the benefit of our subscribers, and we are naturally not too keen on advertising our rivals' products!
My benefit as a gold subscriber of chesspublishing is to have a democratic discussion about chess here on chesspub.
Quote:That said we have very good relations with NIC, and so the post can stand. Maybe they will do the same for us some day?!
They already do this! There is a lot of chesspublishing.com mentioned in recent Yearbooks - perhaps I should write a letter to NIC and ask them not to place some hidden advertisment within their superb books
If you want to get mentioned somewhere you have to mention your business partners (yes! partners not opponents - cause most chess people are really keen on buying everthing!
) as well. If you censor them they will censor you and you end up as a lonely island.
Anyway I have two interests here:
1) Learn and discuss about chess
2) Feel welcome and connected in a free world
