It doesn't matter whether the platform is youtube or another site. If it is advertising, you need GM Tony Kosten's permission first.

Links to your chess products in your byline will need to be removed unless you get Tony's permission.

Youtube links are allowed in moderation, but links to self-produced chess content is crossing the line without Tony's permission.

What about links to youtube videos and such since that is not really a competing chess website.

How can I put a banner for my iOS chess game here?

No, no adverts allowed at all unless it's not for financial gain and you get permission from me. Smiley

Hello Tony,

I'm glad to find this thread!

I've just sent you a PM concering potential partnership between our team and this forum of chess enthusiasts. We're working on a cross-platform portal for playing chess with friends online. That's why I decided to try to reach you out, because I tend to think that our project might be of interest for you.  Roll Eyes

Hey Tony,

I just programmed an Android App that lets users train memorizing chess positions (and also to get to know the board itself). It is free and supports leaderbords as well as unlocking achievements and comes with 200+ levels. Would it be ok to post it in a thread here?

Kind regards
Michael

Would anyone who wishes to advertise content on another site or Forum please have the courtesy to ask me first, otherwise your missive risks being deleted! Cry

I want to call the attention of the other moderators to several recent posts by one charlesgalofre. I welcome his participation here but the commercial signature block, promoting another website, has to go. I am sure he was unaware of our norm when he posted. However I deleted his one post within my ambit, and I'll keep deleting until the signature block changes or Tony says otherwise.

Indeed. Deleted KID posts and sent PM accordingly.

Yes, seams to be pure sales promotion and should be treated as spam.

What kind of proof is that?
