There is a latest update on this line chessbase magazine volume 166.Which shows a good way to handle this line.Bg5 was marked as a good move by EM and f5 is a excellent move instead of 14.Ra2

Well, the game is over...
The result is a draw, but I think, white made some unprizice moves and I think, white is clearly better...

Game is following Koch-Apicella, Chambery 1994 game. This game is referenced by Tiemann's book about French Nc3 and analysed in great "oo-Winawer" Kindermann's book.

Did i mention I don't know if "help" is not advised in corr. games ?

Of course 20.Rh1? looses a good pawn ... but I didn't analysed the position avec Rxf4.

[Black "Apicella,Manuel"]

Right, thats the refering game... but which good pawn does white lose after 20.Th1 ?
Do you mean 20. ... Rxf4 ?
If thats your move, I think, white can get a winning postion, beginning with 21.Qh4 Rf8 22. Bxh6...

Hallo!
I played a cc-game with the variation above.
My oppoment played:
9. ... Qa5 10.Ne2 Ng6 11.0-0 Qa4 12.f4 c4 13.Bg6: fg6: 14.Ra2 Bd7 15.h4 Rf5 16.h5 gh5: 17.Qh5: h6 18.g4 Rf7 19.Kg2 Be8 20.Rh1
I am not sure, but I think 20.Rh1 was the novelty.
I had to sac the exchance and managed to hold the draw only by some weaker moves of my opponent.
Any suggestions, where to play better in that line?
