Sorry Dragan, this game proceeds very slowly.

Elent,M - MNb [C68]
CL 2007-1, 01.09.2007

1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5 a6 4.Bxc6 dxc6 5.0-0 Bg4 6.h3 h5 7.d3 Bd6 8.Nbd2 Be6 9.Nb3 f6 10.Be3 (20 days) g5 11.Na5 g4 12.Nxb7 Qb8 13.Nxd6+ cxd6 14.hxg4 hxg4

White is contemplating his 20th move. His 19th took 41 days, my answer 15.
Things are a bit complicated.

Fortunately for Black White didn't play the dreaded Blackmar-Diemer Gambit.  Wink

Well, my long-term strategy is easy enough: to hack myself a way towards the white king!

9.Nb3?! looks like a very strange move.  I won't comment more than that because everything I would want to say about this position could easily still be relevant as it would relate to long-term strategies for both sides.

After HgMan and Willempie I think it's my turn to write something about the CL. As Black I have met no less than 4 Ruy Lopez's. Maybe I will post about the others later, as the games hardly have left the opening stage yet. This one though is already on move 18, but I will provide only the first ten. It is a line that as far I know is not in the books. It is certainly not on Kindermann's site. I chose it mainly because I wanted to avoid the theoretically drawn but slightly inferior endgames so typical for the Exchange.

Elent,M - MNb [C68]
CL 2007-1, 01.09.2007

1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5 a6 4.Bxc6 dxc6 5.0-0 Bg4 6.h3 h5 7.d3 Bd6 8.Nbd2 Be6 9.Nb3 f6 10.Be3 g5 .....

All comments are welcome.
