Thanks for the thoughts, Smyslov_Fan. I will take 10.h4 seriously. Guess I'll have to try and work out something for black myself since I can't find a single game where black did not lose. Maybe some of those games had black doing well until making a mistake later in the game. I didn't look them over. The work will be rewarded in improving my general understanding of these kinds of positions, hopefully.

Without analysing too deeply, if an opening has been successfully played by a top GM against another top GM, you probably should know what to do against it before your next serious game.

Grischuk is one of those players known for his theoretical preparation, so I would be especially keen to see how black refutes the h4 can-opener attack here.

After 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 e6 3.Nf3 b6 4.g3 b6 5.Bg2 Bb7 6.Nc3 00 7.Qc2 c5 8.d5 ed 9.Ng5 h6 10.h4 white has won all 6 games according to the databases I checked.
For example, Grischuk-M.Adams, 2007, 1-0, Calvia, ESP

As a QID player, I'm wondering if I should avoid this position. However, if it is really so great for white, perhaps it would be played even more.

Anyone have some analysis or understanding of this position? Can I just deal with it over the board or is preparation needed?
