I just  read Krnic's paper on ChessCafe website  "The Ten best Games from Informant 105"  http://www.chesscafe.com/text/informant91.pdf (Archives, November 2009)

and look at French opening game Bacrot-Lysyj,Moscow 2009 where we can find some typical patterns of attack for White in the Black Bareev system (retreat Bf6-Be7 and then oo trying to survive as Black)

Now I have one question, about following idea, not losing tempo to keep bishop pair.

What do you think of ?

1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5 3.Nc3 Nf6 4.Bg5 dxe4 5.Nxe4 Be7 6.Bxf6 Bxf6 7.Nf3 oo (7...Be7 transposes in "main lines" Kosten-Bareev,1990 with the advantage of space for White and advantage of two bishops for Black) 8.Bd3 (8.Qd2 Nd7 9.Bd3 e5 or 9.ooo Be7 10.Bd3 c5) b6 9.Qd2 Bb7 10.ooo and now 10...h6!?   (10...Nd7 transposes to main lines)

Some variations (not analyzed deeply):
A) 11.Qe3 Be7 12.g4 Qd5
B) 11.Nxf6 Qxf6 12.Ne5 c5
C) 11.Kb1 or 11.h4 ... 11..Bxd4 (yes I dare to take it)
