Are you determined to go down the 9. ... b6 10. d4 path? I personally prefer 9. ... Nd4 as a first line of defence..

The lines you give look a bit complicated to me and prone to accidents for Black

(btw you need to edit 'for example: Nh6 bxc6 Nxg4 Bh4 Qc7  Qxd5+=')

Several 'repertoire' books seems to prefer the 9..b6 line. It was also Kotronias' choise in his recent book on the anti-sicilians.

After 9... Nd4 one has to be aware of the pawn sacrifice 10.e5

After 1.e4 c5 2.Nc3 d6 3.g3 Nc6 4.Bg2 g6 5.d3 Bg7 6.f4 e6 7.Nf3 Nge7 8.0-0 0-0 9.Be3 b6 10.d4 Ba6 11.Re1 Rc8 12.a4 d5 13.exd5 exd5 Ftacnik gives Bf2 as the main line, and mentions: "14.Bh3!? only seems to have been played once. 14...Rb8 15.Nb5 Bc8 16. Bxc8 Rxc8 17.dxc5 Nf5 18.cxb6?? (White had to play Bf2N when the position remains unclear after 18..a6!?) Nxe3 19.Rxe3 Qxb6-+"

But after a6 it seems to me that white has an advantage after g4 axb5 axb5 (for example: Nh6 bxc6 Nxg4 Bh4 Qc7 Qxd5+=). And I can't find any improvements after 12...d5, so what can I play instead after 12.a4? (an improvement for black after Bh3 would even be better of course Smiley)
