I think white has to play 10.Qe2... or 12.Qe2... as shown below.
Another plan can be 8.b3... in order to keep the tension in the centre. Playing 8.cxd5 exd5 9.b3... gives black a full scope for an attack on the kingside.
Nevertheless, just pay attention how Kraidman played this one!  Wink

EDIT: Imho, when black starts to push his a-pawn, it's too late for white to resist.

How do you play against this line by Black where Black plays ...c6 and then a5-a4? I cannot think of a good plan against this. The exchange sacrifice also does not seem very sound but I really cannot think of anything to do...

1.Nf3 Nf6 2.c4 b6 3.Nc3 Bb7 4.e3 e6 5.d4 d5 6.Bd3 Bd6 7.O-O O-O 8.cxd5 exd5 9.b3 Nbd7 10.Bb2 a6
11.Rc1 Ne4 12.Ne2 Qe7 13.Ng3 f5 14.Qe2 c6 15.Rc2 a5 16.Rfc1 a4 17.Rxc6 a3 18.Ba1 Bxc6 19.Rxc6 Bxg3 20.hxg3 Ndf6
21.Ne5 Rac8 22.Qc2 Qb7 23.b4 Nxf2 24.Bxf5 Rxc6 25.Nxc6 Qc7 26.Kxf2 Ne4+ 27.Ke2 Rxf5 28.Kd3 Rf2 29.Qc1 Qxc6 0-1
