So it is a double repertoire book like the Karpow book from 2001? They just released a Caro book though, on 3. e5 but for White.

Chess Stars future books pg has been updated to show a Black repertoire book by Kornev. I think this must be the Caro-Kann/Chebanenko Slav repertoire book Semkov was talking about. I wonder if they'll also give replies to 1.Nf3/1.c4 and d4 sidelines.

I can't see anything on the Chess stars web site, just mention of a Dreev book "Attacking the Caro Kann".

There is Houska (2007), Schandorff (2010), and Houska is due for soon (2015) as the only Black repertoire books for the Caro-Kann, especially on short castles. Not very many.

Is this soon or long-term plans? More Caro-Kann books for Black need to be published think I.

I just received the following email from Semko Semkov, after enquiring about the possibility of a Caro-Kann repertoire book for Black:

Quote:
Hi,

We have in our plans a Black repertoire book with Caro-Kann and Chebanenko Slav - by Kornev.

Best wishes,
Semko Semkov

Hopefully this will go ahead and I look forward to buying both of them. I'm not sure if he meant two separate books or for them to be combined into one, I assume it will be two separate books though.

The wording suggests it's one book.
