After 10.dxc5 g5, it looks to me like a Ragozin where black lost a tempo with c6-c5 while spent it with the rather useless Qc2. The knight is still on g1 though.

Anyone else check out this game?

I am not an expert in the QGD by any means, but 9...c5!? seems kind of unusual, but interesting. At the very least I thought Kramnik's position was quite appealing after 16...Qc6.

According to my understanding from the White side, 10.dxc5 should be tried. I wonder what Kramnik's idea was here? I analyzed quite a few ...d4 ideas after 10...Nc6, but nothing seemed to totally work. Black does have a lot of ways to head into 2B vs. 2N positions down a pawn, but I'm not sure about any of them.

Will post more when I get home from work and have access to a database and computer.  Grin
