You should probably check Dreev vs. the Benoni (Chess stars 2013). He tries to find an advantage in both the 10.Bxb5 and 10.Nxb5 lines. Also the two previously mentioned books are ok sources.

Also I can add that black plays for compensation after 15...Ne5 and not to immediate regain the deficit pawn. Black tends to gain enough because white usually has problems defending both b2 and d5 in the medium to long term.

I recall IM Martin Neubauer advising "Jump Forward, Not Sideways" in a Yearbook article back in 2010.

Hello.

I can say that:

Petrov in Grandmaster Repertoire 12: The Modern Benoni (Quality Chess 2013) considers 15...Ne5 "The most precise move".
Also Palliser in Chess Developments: the Modern Benoni (Everyman Chess 2011) thinks 15...Ne5 is the better move.

I don't think any killer continuation for white has been found since these books were published.

After 1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 e6 3. Nc3 c5 4. d5 exd5 5. cxd5 d6 6. e4 g6 7. Bd3 Bg7 8. h3 0-0 9. Nf3 b5 10. Bxb5 Nxe4 11. Nxe4 Qa5+ 12. Nfd2 Qxb5 13. Nxd6 Qa6 14. Ndc4 Nd7 15. 0-0, "Starting Out: d4" gives 15. ...Nb6 for black, generally leading to one of two endgames. When I looked in a database, I saw several games that go 15. ...Ne5 16. Nxc8 Raxc8 17. Nxe5 Bxe5, and the games usually ended in a draw. Does anyone know the evaluation of this position? Is it worse than the mainline with 15. ...Nb6?
