This solid choice is discussed in Alex Fishbein's The Scotch Gambit in Chapter 9 where he calls it The Jobava Variation.

According to Lysyj & Ovetchkin in "The Open Games for Black" 7.Be2 "is much better than its reputation". In their main line they follow the game Rebeggiani - G. Gonzales, email 2000 with 7...Ne4 8.cxd4 Bb6 9.0-0 0-0 10.Nc3 Be6 11.Be3 f6 12.exf6 Qxf6 13.Bd3 Nxc3 14.bxc3 Bg4 15.Be2 Rae8 and evalute this as equal, which is certainly reasonable.

Does anybody know if there are some text covered analyses (e.g. NIC Yearbook,...) ? What's your opinion of this line ? I think that this line is at least very interesting and if black doesn't know what to do, white can expect some sort of advantage...
