Maybe Ke3 centralising, and then Kf4 attacking!

This looks playable.  Maybe Black should just continue developing with say 5...Ne7 and see how White deploys his forces.

Caro Kann Fantasy - 3...e6 4.Nc3 Bb4 5.Kf2!?

Hello chess friends

In preparing against a svoren Caro Kann fan opponent, I looked for something interesting and new in the Fantasy variation and came up with the idea 1.e4 c6 2.d4 d5 3.f3 e6 4.Nc3 Lb4 and now 5.Kf2!? (instead of softer and more usual tries like 5.a3 or 5.Bf4).

After 5.Kf2!?, which is basicly a pawn sac, the idea and critical test is: 5...Bxc3 6.bxc3 dxe4 7.fxe4 Qh4+ 8.g3 Qxe4 9.Nf3. This is also how the game went and I thought and still believes that White has good compensation for the pawn here. After 9...Qf5 10.Bd3 Qa5 11.Ne5!? (pawn sac number two) 11...Qxc3, I blundered with 12.Qh5? and quickly lost. However, 12.Qg4! would have kept White fighting with active an promissing play as indicated in the attached analyses.

Grateful for any views on 5.Kf2!?

Best whishes
