I just found a great feature where you can scan a position off an image. LC will recognize the pieces automatically. That is really cool!

Downloaded it over two years ago on my "Portal Apps" thumbdrive. Really like the newest version; first one I got froze at times, but not since. Several Internal engines (weak to around 3000) & External (have never used any), tactics puzzles, & you control how many hints you can get (if you want) during a game.   Grin

Yeah, I think it's a great tool. Also for long-term training.

Right now I'm trying to get familiar with the analysis tools.

Yeah true.

The only SW I know is the Chess Tutor (en.chesstutor.eu). It's using the Stappenmethode. Quite good for beginners.

Have not heard of it, but it does look interesting. One of the areas of development in computer chess that has always seemed overlooked and underappreciated is in pedagogical tools.

Hello.

I recently came across a chess program called Lucas Chess. Is anybody here familiar with it? It looks quite good.

I'm using it for about a week now and I really like it. It is also suitable for weaker players like me, because the computer doesn't rush you all the time.

If anybody has some tips and advice for this tool, please let me know. Especially for the analysis.

Paul.
