When you filter then you have on the right 3 boxes:
"First", "Length" and "Last".
You need to change the value of "Last" to something like 40. For some reason it takes as default 3 but then the filter already stops checking each game at move 3.
I remember encountering something similar once when I wanted to search a specific endgame position. After this little change I do find the game.

I have a FEN position. I paste it into Fritz or Komodo. I use Database > Filter search to "copy the board". Finally I click OK to start the position search thru the games in Mega Database 2008.

But no game with the position is ever found, even though I know the game is P.Hofmann - E.Hartmann 2006, and it is in Mega.
WHY not found?

Here is the FEN, which shows move-pair number 1, which of course is wrong. Usually I do Not know the move-pair number, although in this case I happen to know it was 29. When I cheat and replace the 1 with 29, the game is still Not found.

QUESTION:  HOW can I make Fritz Komodo find the darn game which has the position?

The follow FENs have slightly invalid syntax on purpose, to prevent this ChessPub .com system from turning them into visible diagrams. I merely replaced the first '/' with '='.
