If the 0-0/Bd3 stuff is rare in corr, what have White players being trying in the Moscow (if anything?)

I went back and checked the correspondence games for this year. The position after 7... g5 has been reached exactly once in Tomizawa (2492) vs Morozov (2461) ICCF 2016 1/2-1/2 game continued 8. Nxg5 Ne5 9. Be2 bxc4 10. Nc3 Nd3 11. Bxd3 cxd3 12. Qf3 e5 13. Nd5 Bg8 14. Qxd3 Nxd5 15. Qxd5 Ra7. Play continued to move 71 but the result was never in doubt at any point.

5. Bd3 seems to be rare at correspondence. In the last year it has been seen 8 times total with a score of: +2 -1 =5

The position after 6. Re1 has been reached 7 times 6... g6 was played twice 6... e6 3 times.

The position after 7. c4 was reached twice and the other game went 7... Ne5

Hey guys,

I was thinking some of you may have done analysis on the Modern Main Line of the Moscow, with 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 d6 3.Bb5 Nd7 4.0-0 a6 5.Bd3 Ngf6 6.Re1 b5 7.c4, and now 7...g5. I worked heavily on this a year ago, have there been any major developments since? Have the correspondence players or engines been testing this variation or favouring the c3/d4 plans?

All our dreams come true if we have the courage to pursue them.
