Hi,

We are in the process of finishing the work on Boris Avrukh's 1.d4 d5 book. It will include a repertoire with the Catalan, QGA (7.Bb3) 4.e3 against the Slav and a repertoire against the Chigorin, Tarrasch and so on.

In my opinion the book is truly spectacular. Boris have found 100s of new ideas and gone to previously unknown depth in this book. We sincerely hope that people will like it.

Is this an only book or is it part of some kind of series? If so, as I guess is the case, where can we find some info on the others, and maybe an overview of the whole project?
What is the publisher?

The publisher is Quality Chess. They announced one d4 book (by Avrukh) and one c4 book (by Marin) earlier. The d4 book now has two volumes (still much fewer than Chess Star's series on the Kramnik repertoire). (In the announcement, the fianchetto system vs KID was mentioned.)

I think Aagaard would do an 1.e4 book as well.

Quality Chess is indeed the publisher. The first 1.d4 book is going to print tomorrow and is exceptional in its depth. I think there are about 250 novelties in the book. Some other books are basically busted in the process.

Marin's 1.c4 book could be out in January if things go well, but they rarely do. The same is the case for the King's Gambit.

I will do 2 volumes on 1.e4 in 2009 and Boris will do a 2nd volume on 1.d4 (the rest). We are also about to sign a contract with an experienced GM on the Sicilian. We will do more books from the black side in this series, I think.

Is there any chance of seeing a table of contents/variotions somewere???
