It's very good and features some of his recent tournament games. He now has two columns, 1e4 Other, and anti-Sicilians. That's a lot.

Perhaps he's got a break in tournaments. I'm looking forward to more updates.

I wonder what happened to David Fitzsimons, former publisher of Anti-Sicilians.

Bauer's book is on sale at New in Chess for only €4.99 / $5.38. I would say it is worth more than that, particularly if you are interested in 1.e4 Nc6 2.Nf3 d6 3.d4 Nf6 4.Nc3 g6 5.d5 Nb8 and related lines, which is about one-third of the contents. https://www.newinchess.com/sale?utm_content=autumn_sale
Edited:

Oops! Out of stock already.

Although I think the GM could have put in more effort, I am nevertheless working my way through it, especially the mentioned setup, which could also help me with white. I tend to play quiet Nf3 lines against the Pirc/Modern.

This didn't prevent White from scoring 58% according to my database. Fine or not, Black needs good defensive skills. Like I already wrote. And that's the exact opposite of "Caro played aggressively".

This is a great book for beginners, but it contains a lot of stuff that many of us more experienced players ought to know and don't. It will serve you well both in your games with White (if Black answers 1.e4 with ...e5) and those with Black (if White plays 1.e4). I wish it had been around when I learned to play.

Hi.

I have read through Negi's book a lot this weekend. Apart from becoming bothered with how much Alekhine and Scandinavian lines/theory exists nowadays it was enjoyable.

Must say his 150 attack coverage in the Pirc was very enjoyable to follow. Especially the c6 Pirc chapter. Felt like I learned a great deal and also stuff that's gonna help picking lines as black.

Have a nice day.
