I will have to give some of the mainlines some careful reading before I pass judgment, but it doesn't seem very ... complete.

After 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 e6 3.Nf3 Bb4+ 4.Bd2 a5 5.a3, for example (which may not be the most important line, but is surely worth some attention), The line sort of peters out after 5...Bxd2+ 6.Qxd2, when the only move given any attention is 6...b6. In his Nimzo/Bogo repertoire, Sielecki recommends 6...0-0, which doesn't receive so much as a mention (not even by transposition).

Nor do I see 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 e6 3.Nf3 Bb4+ 4.Nbd2 d6 (also Sielecki's repertoire) anywhere. Indeed, games I've played previously with the Bogo-Indian run out somewhere between moves 8 and 10. I like the historical introduction, but I don't think there's nearly enough analysis or investigation of variations to call this even "somewhat comprehensive." And the commentary is, in general, quite light.

I'll give it some more concentrated study, but my first impressions are not terribly positive.

According to IM Bronznik 3.Nd2 c5 (because after 4.a3 Bxd2+ 5.Bxd2 pawn d4 is unprotected) and 3...b6 4.a3 Be7 5.e4 Bb7 6.Ngf3 Nh6 7.Bd3 f5 8.O-O O-O (Gurevich-Miezis, Olympiade 2008) offer White nothing.

Do you guys know if the Modern Bogo is treated in any of Avrukh's books? I can't seem to find it, but it should be in there somewhere, right?

Late to this discussion, but I rather thought that one of the advantages the Bogo had over the Old Indian was that the exchange of a pair of minor pieces left Black's position less cramped. I can't pretend to be an expert in either line (and would echo the importance of taste above), but I remember getting squeezed in the Old Indian, and had knights and bishops tripping over each other in close quarters.

Quick look the disc looks good. I it only coveres the 4 Bd2 line.
The disc is a repertour based and not based on annotated games.
After the repertour section there comes a couple of excercises.

I also think this thread is a bit silly since it can also be compared to some defences to 1 e4 and also some other defences to 1 d4 like exchange slav.

For example, why play French when an opponnet can play exchange variation?
And why play sicilian when there are several anti sicilians with drawish repetation and lots of forced draws in the sharpest lines of open Sicilian?

The answer is simply , play chess and play against the opponent and not the opening and it is possible to win against all openings!

If you mean theroetically speaking, there has hardly been any books on the subject for ages! I think that latest book was realiced in 1998. There is of course Schikovs discs from 2008 but there ares some improvments in some lines. However, there has been lots of Catalan repertour books for white when Bb4+ transposes in most cases. GM Makarov is supposed to be writting a book at Bogo Indian and a book at Nimzo Indian but there has been many delays.
