Old Steinitz - just passive or lost?
Hi,
I consulted from White's point of view my books (OATA, Modern Chess, NCO) and the chesspub guide about the line:

Every line in these sources ends wi...

A ´new´ kingside fianchetto for Black in the Ruy!?
I just noticed an interesting game played today in the German Bundesliga:

However, the line cannot exactly be called new. Checking Megabase the earliest encounter I could find was this game:
[pgn][Event "Tarrasch ...|/pgn]
There is nothing new under the sun...
The line looks interesting to me and maybe Black can use this move order to avoid some of the problem lines in the Cozio-Defence. But I am sure White will find ways to put Black under pressure here as well.
Does anybody know about some published analysis on this line?
