I saw an interesting version of the Wing Gambit at the British Champs.

Hi all,
As a Najdorf player how should one tackle the Grand Priz and the closed?? If I play an early d6 then Grand Priz is good. If I play a6 then I think a6 is a pointless move in the closed.<... Started 07/19/09 at 04:08:14 by Zatara |

Hi all,

What do people think of 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 d6 3.c3
So one of the most popular lines I've faced as white when I use the 2.c3 variation is 2..d5. It seems I can avoid this continuation by playing 2.Nf6 d6 3.c3 .. as black now would not want to play d5....
