Following top level chess, today the main line caro-kann definitely starts with 3. e5 Bf5

Need some ideas in the Advance CK with 3...c5
Hi! In the recent Sants Tournament, Barcelona, I was faced with a line of the advance CK and I still didn't find a good way to face it. The line goes: 1.e4 c6, 2.d4 d5, 3.e5 c5, 4.dxc5 Nc6, 5.Nf3 Bg4,...

Advance Caro-Kann 3...c5, 6.Qg4!?
In the Advance Caro-Kann with 1.e4 c6 2.d4 d5 3.e5, I sometimes wonder whether 3...c5! deserves to be called the main line (instead of 3...Bf5). After, for example, 4.dxc5 Nc6 5.Bb5 e6 6.Be3 Nge7 7.c3...

Not playing ...c5 in the Classical Caro

I had wondered about 17.Bc1 and came across the above game. Some ideas behind 17.Bc1 - Keeps options open, gets the bishop off the d-file, the bishop continues to eye h6, White asks Black what his plan is. Basically White cleans up his house before starting kingside action. Obviously, though, White is using up a lot of time with Kb1, Bc1 moves.
Looking at this with a computer, it's funny that after 17...b5 18.c5 it gives Black a half
