Why do not top players play the Stonewall?
There was an old thread about why top players didn't play the Dutch. Currently the Leningrad is played a bit but I still wonder what the problem is with the Stonewall.

Stonewall Mainline, is 9..exd5 so bad?
I have Aagaards book, and I use to have the other new book on the stonewall by Iver Bern - I believe they both assert that the reader should not play 9...exd5 in the mainline. Instead they recommend 9...

Basman's Variation of the Leningrad Dutch
1 d4 f5, 2 g3 g6, 3 Bg2 Bg7, 4 Nf3 c6, 5 o-o Nh6, 6 c4 d6, 7 Nc3 o-o
