I remember a relatively recent repertoire book advocating, among others the "quiet" line with Nf3, Bg5 and e3 vs the KID, but I somehow forgot its title and author. I may have seen it on Amazon... any...

How do you guys play the London?
I'm just curious, how do KID players play against the London. what set-up do you use and where do you place your Nb8 and do you play e5 or c5?

1.d4,Nf6 2.d5?
Looks stupid, right? Well, after about a half-dozen tries, I'm still unable to figure out how to get an advantage coming out of the opening against this nonsense. Any suggestions?

Move-order and Averbakh variation
Hello !
I have noticed that, usually, when some White player wants to get an Averbakh against the King's Indian, he starts with 5. Be2 rather than 5. Nf3. Is there any good reason for this ?... Started 04/10/09 at 13:50:53 by Sleepy kitten |

Fascinating Line in the Averbakh
Hello!
In Gallagher's book, "Play the King's Indian" he makes mention of an exciting subvariation in the Averbakh that involves a piece sacrifice. The moves leading up to it are as follows: <br /... Started 08/15/10 at 00:47:32 by mlz3 |

Ktg1-e2-c3 in the QP Modern and Anti-Grünfeld
I've recently been experimenting in blitz games with this idea :
- 1. d4 Ktf6 ; 2. c4 g6 ; 3. f3 Bg7 (3. ...d5 is probably most Grünfeld players' choice anyway, but that is another story) ; 4. e4... Started 09/21/07 at 01:03:05 by Uberdecker |
