A new move in the Taylor Morra
Here is a very interesting (and somewhat risky) attempt by Black to play for a win in the Taylor variation of the Morra, after Esserman's 9.Bf4 recommendation. Black sacrifices an exchange, and gets e...

Morra: News since Langrock's book!
The line 4.Nxc3 e6 5.Nf3 Nc6 6.Bc4 a6 7.0-0 Nge7 8.Bg5 f6 is probably GM and IM favorite weapon against the Morra.

the tactical smith-morra gambit
The Smith-Morra is incredibly complicated and Black couldn't convert the pawn.

Morra Gambit ...Bd7
The big problem with the Morra Gambit is that Black has so many reasonable defences available. One of them is playing ...Bd7 at some point.

Is there anything written on the line 1. e4 c5 2. d4 cxd4 3. c3 dxc3 4. Nxc3 Nc6 5. Nf3 d6 6. Bc4 Bd7. I haven't found anything on this particular move 6..Bd7 in the few books I've checked. Of course ...

Question about Smith Morra like gambit

The Smith-Mora Gambit
I have been running into this opening a lot in blitz games lately. Is it played a lot by Grandmasters? And if so, what is the success rate for white? Thanks

Delayed Morra
Thinking to add the Delayed Morra to my White rep. Idea was to use it only vs. certain setups (e.g. vs. d6-Sicilians): 1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 xx 3. d4 cxd4 4. c3 (?!/!?).

Supposed refutation
Some guy is claiming the line 1.e4 c5 2.d4 cxd4 3.c3 dxc3 4.Nxc3 Nc6 5.Nf3 e6 6.Bc4 Nge7 7.Bg5 h6 as a refutation (or at least path to a clear edge for black) of the Morra, with the idea of meeting 8....
