C45: Unusual line in the Scotch
In a current tournament I faced this line

I have been testing playing scotch gambit to see if it suited my style and I have checked out some theory but I have not stumbled on 4... h6 in the theory books.

Avoiding a forced draw in the Scotch Game
After 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.d4 exd4 4.Nxd4 Bc5 5.Be3 Qf6 6.c3 Nge7 7.Bc4 Ne5 8.Be2 Qg6 9.0-0 d6! 10.Kh1 Qxe4 11.Nd2 Qg6 12.Bh4, White can force a draw after either 12...Qd3 13.Be2 Qg6 14.Bh5 or 12...Bg4...

C45: a6 as an alternative in Scotch: ..Bc5/..Qf6
Until a few years ago I played 4...Qh4?! vs. the Scotch but finally came to my senses, switching to 4...Qf6. Interestingly this lines gets almost no coverage in books which however give coverage to 4...
