Czech Benoni
Can White successfully avoid a Czech Benoni after 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 c5
I'm assuming, rightly or wrongly, that 3.d5 is the best move and that 3...e5 forces this opening structure upon White.

Old Indian or semi-benoni
I play 1...c5 against 1.d4 White plays 2.d5 Nf3 3.Nc3 d6 4.e4 e5 White never takes and I feel by dark square bishop is useless.I like to attack (who does't).I win most games but they seem very sluggis...

Czech + Closed (Old) OR Schmid Benoni?
I am thinking on taking up the Czech Benoni as a backup defence versus 1.d4. (I find the Modern Benoni far too theoretical for that purpose. Smiley)
BUT if I start with 1..c5 then White can omit c2-c...

Is the Clarendon Court (d4 c5 d5 f5!?) unsound?
Does Black get enough play in the Clarendon Court defense?
I've heard there's a "Foxy Openings #1" video on the Clarendon Court by GM Jonathan Levitt.
I'm not particularly worried about Whit...

That might be that for the Clarendon Court
Hi All
I've had a soft spot for the Clarendon Court lately (1. d4 c5 2. d5 f5), and I've been doing a little home analysis on it. A lot of posts I've seen around here seem to indicate that the sc...
