It looks much better to wait until Black has played ...c6-c5 before playing c2-c4 (it is logical to open the position when Black has lost time moving his c-pawn twice).  Check out the Rausis-Salem game in the latest 1.e4 ... update!

The system can be dangerous but there is actually a decent amount of theory on this defense as there is on the related 1.e4 c6 2.d4 d5 3.e5 Bf5 4.h4 h5 5.c4.

What do you guys think of this line?

e4 c6 d4 d5 e5 Bf5 c4!?
may lead to dxc4 Bxc4 e6 with ideas of Nc3 Be3 0-0, and Nge2-Nf4 for white.

do this line present any challenge to the caro.
