1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5 a6 4.Bxc6 dxc6 5.O-O Bg4 6.h3 h5 (I prefer this variation both as white and black Smiley ) 7.d3 Qf6 8.Nbd2 Ne7 9.Re1 (I don't remember the order of this move but you play it now or in the previous move) Ng6 10.d4 Bd6 11.hxg4 hxg4 12.Nh2 Rxh2! 13.Qxg4! (Kxh2?? is crushing). Now black cannot castle and their attack stops. If they don't realise that immediately they are gonna lose material. Fischer, who first found and played this variation won a lot of games playing as white. Of course there are some other variations but this is the main and most famous line in the exchange variation - Alapin Gambit.
Or 5.d4 exd4 6.Qxd4 Qxd4 7.Nxd4 and or 7..Bd7 or 7..b5!? (if 8.Nxc6? Bb7 which regains the pawn and has the bishop pair which gives a slight advantage to black pieces).

Can anyone post some good sidelines (or main lines) in the Exchange Variation of the Ruy Lopez?
