It is considered very dubious now because of 11. Bb5!

"Now any advance requires a pawn sacrifice with ...a4 or long manoeuvering to kick the bothersome bishop from b5. To date no antidote has been found, so I would say that this move more or less refutes the concept begun with 10...a5."

From Tapani Sammalvuo's book on the English Attack.

I have Winning with the Najdorf by Danny King and was wondering if his recommendations still is viable. It goes 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 d6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Nf6 5.Nc3 a6! 6.Be3 e5 7.Nb3 Be7 8.f3 O-O 9.Qd2 Be6 10.O-O-O a5!?
