Try something like 1.d4 d5 2.Bg5 h6 3.Bh4 c6 4.e3 Qb6 as now that the bishop has left from c1 the b2 pawn is weak. I believe that 5.b3 is a tactical error and that the right move is 5.Qc1. Then you can continue like e5, Nd7, Ne7 (now propably Bxe7, Kxe7) and black stands satisfactory well.

Can anyone enlighten me on how to defend against the Hodgson Attack (d4 d5 Bg5)?  I didn't like the prospect of Nf6 allowing doubled pawns, but can't find much else better.  Thanks for all the help.
