Hmm ... I don't have any theory to back me up on this and I don't have a set in front of me just now, but 8.Bg5 Bg7 9.Nd5 looks like the critical way to try to exploit Black's move order.  Does Black have a simple riposte that I am missing?

Classical 6. f3 Nxd4!? 7. Qxd4 g6

I play the "English Attack" (f3, Be3, Qd2, O-O-O, g4, etc.) against both the Najdorf and Scheveningen variations and against those two I use the 6. f3 move order to avoid 6...Ng4. While it works fine there, against the Classical I am certainly prepared for 6...e6 or 6...e5 but 6...Nxd4!? 7. Qxd4 g6 taking advantage of the fact that White could not recapture with the bishop seems to be an easy way for black to equalise, at least according to NCO. I've looked up a few games and several have continued 8. Be3 with a later O-O-O and Qd2 for White which arrives at positions that could possibly arise from the Yugoslav Attack against the Dragon with an extra tempo for White (I think)  after 8. Be3 Bg7 9. O-O-O O-O 10. Qd2 Be6 Compare that to 1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 d6 3. d4 cxd4 4. Nxd4 Nf6 5. Nc3 g6 6. Be3 Bg7 7. f3 O-O 8. Qd2 Nc6 9. O-O-O Nxd4 10. Bxd4 Be6 11. Be3 which is bad for White because black continues 11...Qa5! The question then is whether or not 11. Be3 would be good for White if he got it in for free. After 10...Be6 (from the classical move order) I think 11. Kb1 is best with perhaps 11...Qa5!? 12. Nd5 Qd8 13. Nc3 Qa5 with a draw by repitition as I don't know if 13. Nxf6+ is good for White without a bishop on d4. Does White have any better 11th moves or is Kb1 best? 11. Bh6 Bxh6 12. Qxh6 Qa5 13. a3 Rfc8 followed by Rab8 and b5 looks uncomfortable for White.

Any ideas for either side on or before move 11?
