	I have just posted one reply in another topic on the forum and I give here the same idea: you can play 8.Bd3 cxd4! transposing to poisoned pawn line 9.Ne2 dxc3 10.Qxg7 Rg8 11.Qxh7 Nd7 Some (world champion class) games about Geller gambit with 7...cxd4 : Tal-Bronstein,Kiev 1965 ; Spassky-Korchnoi, Belgrade 1977

	The Geller Gambit is probably not worse than the main line 8.Qxg7. Black has not better than the main line you mentioned. But Black can avoid this with a different move order: 1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5 3.Nc3 Bb4 4.e5 Ne7 5.a3 Bxc3+ 6.bxc3 c5 7.Qg4 cxd4 with the intention 8.Bd3 Qa5! So I prefer 7.h4 and only play the move order 4...c5 5.a3 Bxc3+ 6.bxc3 Qc7 7.Qg4 Ne7 8.Bd3. This means that Black has the choice how to defend.

	I have earlier underestimated this line but looking at chesslab.com white has a win of 57% Does anyone know what is the most reliable way to face it ??? Closing with c4 seems rather passive while 8... cxd4 9 ne2 dxc3 10. Qxg7 Rg8 11. Qh6! is very complicated. 1. e4 e6 2. d4 d5 3. Nc3 Bb4 4. e5 Ne7 5. a3 Bxc3+ 6. bxc3 c5 7. Qg4 Qc7 8. Bd3
