1.e4 e5 2.f4 exf4 3.Bc4 Qh4+ 4.Kf1 Nf6 5.Nf3 Qh6 6.Nc3
A) 6...Bb4 7.e5 Bxc3 8.dxc3 Ng4 9.Qd4 Ne3+ 10.Bxe3 fxe3 11.Re1 with a nice lead in development, Holmberg-Bopp, em 2000.
B) 6...Be7 7.d4 is not bad for White either, two games of Maljutin in 1905.
White can also try 5.Nc3 and postpone Nf3 a bit.

The book had the effect good books usually have: it made the stupids more stupid, the intelligent more intelligent and the other thousands of readers remained unchanged.

I always prefer to retreat the queen to h6, but I play 4...b5 instead of Nf6  Wink

1 e4 e5 2 f4 exf4 3 Bc4 Qh4+ 4 Kf1 Nf6 5 Nf3 Qh6!?

Of what value is this move?  My computer recently chose this over the listed alternative of Qh5, and it looks pretty decent.  A quick online search on chessbase.com shows that this move has some good success (only 1 white victory in about 7 or 8 games).

What's everybody think?   Undecided
