Finally a non Yugoslav topic! Teyko, I would say that 12...Rxc3 is an immediate threat. Even 12.f3 Rxc3 might be playable, though 12...Ne5 and 12...Qa5 with the idea 13.Qd2 (13.Bd2!?) Ne5 look stronger.

The book had the effect good books usually have: it made the stupids more stupid, the intelligent more intelligent and the other thousands of readers remained unchanged.

I was hoping the dragon board could look at this position and assess it. Ward's book's don't have any actual games and I could not find any strong players that played the position.

I am wondering if the immediate threat is 12...Rxc3 or if it is a prolonged threat with the idea of Qa5.

1.e4 c5  2.Nf3 d6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Nf6 5. Nc3 g6 6.Bg5 Bg7 7. Bb5+ Bd7 .Qe2 a6 9.Bxd7 Nbxd7 10.h6 11.Be3 Rc8

Thanks for your help,
Teyko
