Quick question, quick answer:
<Would it be ....lines?>
Yes.

The book had the effect good books usually have: it made the stupids more stupid, the intelligent more intelligent and the other thousands of readers remained unchanged.

C26: question on KG and Vienna transpositions

Hello, I have a quick question for KG and Vienna practitioners concerning a couple of minor lines that can arise via transposition from Alekhine's Defense. (I am considering shifting from 2...d5 to 2...e5 vs. 1.e4 Nf6 2.d3 owing to recent troubles)

KG:
1. e4 Nf6 2.d3 e5 3.f4

Vienna:
1.e4 Nf6 2.d3 e5 3.Nc3

Would it be accurate to state that current theory in the KG/Vienna gives no reason for Black to be particularly concerned in either of these lines? My initial review of the continuations seen in recent games in my db indicates that the Vienna line is bad at best for White and the KG line is passive, yet playable (from both sides) either as a KGD or a KGA.

Thank you for any assitance.
