another weak point is that if there is a pawn exchange on d4, your queen is going to get bumped off of the file by a rook at c8 before you're done developing.

i like the 4.Be2 line alright, but i stopped playing it, because i got bored with all the 4...g6 games.

It seems to me black can play ..Bg4 and d5 in some order to reach either a tempo down french with no bad bishop or a tempo down 2.c3 d5 sicilian where white has spent his extra tempo misplacing his queen.
