It certainly doesn't look great - for starters, can white not play 13.Be2? If 13...ab 14.Nxb5 Nxb5 15.Bxb5 Qa5+ 16.Nc3 white is slightly better. Your suggested mainline doesn't quite give black enough, either - black has little compensation for the pawn, realistically. I don't have any material to hand so I can't say what else might come of these moves, but I'd have thought that 11...Nd4 or 11...Qa5+ are more promising ways of going about things.

1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.d4 xd4 4.Nxd4 Nf6 5.Nc3 e5 6.Nb5 d6 7.Bg5 a6 8.Na3 b4 9.Nd5 Be7 10.Bxf6 Bxf6 11.c4 0-0
12.xb5 Nd4

Is this line playable?
13.Bmoves xb5 and it's not a pawn sack because white can't take the b pawn
13.Nc2 Qa5 -+
13.xa6 Bg5
14.B move Qa5+ and the white knights get tangled
but 14.Nc2 and now what? Black needs to show compensation for the white queenside. I looked at xNc2 followed by f5 and black has a nice position if it weren;t for the 3 white queenside pawns.
13   ... Be6 Bc5!and it looks like black is down a queenside pawn and white has a deathgrip on d5.

Is this pawn sack playale or does black need to bunker down with b4?
