Just seen a news item at a swedish chess site, that FIDE wants players who have taken title norms which haven't been sent in when requesting a title, to register the norms plus send in a picture of themselves before june 30th. Unregistered norms will be void after that date.

Anyone know why this is suddenly required and why such a short period to comply? I'd imagine many players are going abroad on vacation at the moment...  ???
