Maybe 22...Ne8 (planning to contest the c-file with ...Qc7). He might try to prepare this with ...h5 to remove any Bg4 kind of threats.

A later option might be 25...a5, to prepare ...Qb6 and dark-square play. He seemed to drift in the position, allowing you to improve the placement of some of your pieces.

So where did he go wrong as after qc6 we both thoght I was much better ba6 trades the queens??? and ending bishop dominants night.eric

Yeah, Black is definitely not worse in that position after the exchange on d5. In fact, Black is probably very slightly better because of the better minor piece and more compact pawn structure. Still, should be drawish with correct play ...

Looking at the game, I really would prefer black's position after 12 ... Bxd5.  What advantages do you have?  Black promptly gets rid of your bishop pair and your remaining bishop is not exactly a brilliant piece.  Black's pawn structure has almost no concessions, and you have no attack on either side.  I really don't see how you could judge the position as better for you (not to say you're worse - but not better Wink )
