I can get the games from my database, so thanks for pointing out Sammalvuo's book to me.  I haven't seen it yet but will make a point of seeking it out now!

Well...Samalvuos book is the best...but I suggest you should buy both!!

They are much better together.

You cant just go with the Samalvuo book....you need the games too. And Fedorowiczs book is loaded with games. Not very much annotated but its good to have anyway.

Tiviakov reviewed three books on this stuff for NIC Yearbook and he seems to like Sammalvuo but not DeFirmian, especially combined with 'Mastering the Najdorf' by Moreno & "?", because of some lines S. does not deal with.  Very much in line with the remarks from the users here...

Hi, Friends!

Sammalvuo is a very good book, but the other book is less expensive $$ at www.niggeman.com (10 euros)

about Sammalvuo, I must to tell you he not covered all moves... for example in the well-know line with black e6, Nc6 , O-O .. . well I'm speaking about

1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 d6 3.d4 cd 4.Nd4 Nf6 5.Nc3 a6 6.Be3 e6 7.f3 Nc6 8.Qd2 Be7 9.O-O-O O-O 10.g4 Nd4 11.Bd4 b5 12.g5 Nd7 13.h3 Qc7 14.Kb1 b4 15.Na4 Bb7 16.b3 d5 17.g6 and now 17...e5!? played in Boix (me) against GM Jaracz, in Benasque 2005.

I found 2 books that interest me. One was written by de Firmian N. & Fedorowicz J (2004). The other was  written by Sammalvuo T. (2004). I have read some reviews but didn't purchase one yet, because I still wasn't sure wich one to buy.
What do you think about these books? Thanks for your opinion.
