Without going into the specific variation, you are exactly right about the computers' inability to understand even the most basic concepts of Black's play in the KID.  To give one example that didn't occur in the KID but that highlights the problems computers have was the game Kasparov-Deep Fritz that Kaspy won by suffocating Black.  Just about every human on the planet (rated over, say, 1700) was shouting that the computer had to play ...f5 against White's big center (a very major theme in the KID) but all the computers blythely agreed that Black was doing just fine without the pawn push.  The computers were all wrong.

Unfortunately, the number of positions in which computers are absolutely useless is dwindling by the day.

There is a big difference in evaluation between human players and chess engines :
roughly engines eval is severely biased in favour of White
An example :
1 d4 Nf6
2 c4 g6
3 Nc3 Bg7
4 e4 d6
5 Nf3 O-O
6 Be2 e5
7 O-O Nc6
8 d5 Ne7
9 Re1?! a5
10 Bg5?! h6
11 Bd2?!
Last white moves look quite dubious , as White looses several tempi , and this can't be unpunished , so , even without concrete lines , one can say that Black are better in the long term
Yet all engines , at depth of 20 plies give white an edge
of about 1/2 pawn
If they are right ,one may wonder how Black can ever win in KID
Maybe engines are not well suited to analyze this opening.... Roll Eyes
