The Claredon has a somewhat unhealthy look, but I don't know any outright bust. I would go for 3.e4 fxe4 4.Nc3 Nf6 5.g4!? which is messy but probably uncomfortable for Black. Neither 5...g6 nor 5...h6 looks particularly tempting.

We played some blitz game and I have to say I really like your idea. I was not really impressed by 4.f3 which is supposed to be the best. But here black can enter a skewed up KID with f5 played upfront and I don't like the resulting positions.

Thanks, Tafl, for solving one problem Wink for the time being.

I tried that idea once.  I'll see if I can dig up the score.  I lost to a 2200 as White. Embarrassed Angry

Hi,

I know that there's a recent update on the Clarendon Court here, but I don't subscribe to that update.  Without infringing on any copyright, does anyone have a good line against it?  I thought I read that there's a big bust of the Clarendon Court (1.d4 c5 2.d5 f5).  GM Emms mentions 3.Nc3 Nf6 f3!? Any thoughts or games?
