The plan is f5 to open the bishop yes, but f4 not really part of the idea, the jobavo lahno  game was the begginning, white has better martin gives a few ideas but stops short in the qf2 plan, the whole thing is ok for black. When a 2300 hold a 2630 otb take notice unless the gm blunders and becerra never blundered.

Isn's 14...Ne3 with 15..f5 16..f4 a good plan for black? Why Dearing doesn't agree with this in his book?

looked at this last night with fritz let it run and the analysis changes after about 10 minutes on my fritz 9, looked at this as well maybe better than the move i played but not much, it transposes into dearings book in some lines, but either move is fine i agree it is no improven\ment, he thought it was prior to the game, after the game i think he will just give the whole thing a rest, black is doing great in this line no reason for the queen sac, and dearings analysis misses alot for black sorry eddy, but i worked most of this out at home, one of about 40 improven\ments i have stored up over 25 years.now i can play them against gms, also go to icc and see my win over larry christensen in the soltis line, its a thing of beauty i muss confess. But the becera game was in the final round of a important miami tourney so i am really pleased even if analysis shows i did not make the best moves, thats what happens in most dragons ebb flow so on so forth Cheesy

no I believe both lines have benifits, becerra is a fine endgame player dangerous with the initiitive and much better than i, so I wanted attacking chances at all costs thats why I chose to play the sac. I believe chris and I or tiv and I looked at thisa yearago in norway so I gave it a go, nb5 was his improvement but not so good I think. Exclaim

So you think 12.exBf6 Bxf6 in less good than the exchange sacrifice you played ? The computer likes very much 14.Nb5 Re8 with ideas like Bh6 and Ne3.
