With I wanted to play an open game, and play an attacking game, but I didn't like early pawnsacrifices. I was study the Ruy Lopez and I found an interesting variation:

1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5 Nf6 4.0-0 Nxe4 5.d4 Nd6 6.Bxc6 dxc6 7.dxe5 Ne4!? 8.Qe2 Bf5 9.Rd1 Qe7!

There are not many games, but black scores well. Is this line playable and why is this line not popular? Smiley
