Hello everybody, this is my first post here.
In a game I played some years ago this line occured:
1.e4-e5 2.Nf3-Nc6 3.Bb5-f5 4.d3-fxe4 5.dxe4-Nf6 6.0-0-Bc5 7.Nc3-d6 8.Be3-Bxe3!?
9.fxe3-0-0 10.Bc4+-Kh8 11.Ng5-Qe8!? (probably better then Bg4 12.Qe1 with good attacking chances for white). I can`t find an advantage for white after 11...Qe8. For example:
12.Nd5-Qg6! 13.Nxc7-Qxg5 14.Nxa8-Bg4 15.Qxd6-Rxa8 16.Qa3-Bh5 and black might even be better already.
Does that mean that 8...Bxe3 is better than Bb6, or even refutes 8.Be3?
Btw I know that 7.Qe2 is considered a better try.
I`d appreciate your comments and suggestions.
