	and what about 8.Nd5 Nge7 9.Bg5 f6!? hoping for 10.Qh5(?!) g6 11.Nf6 Kf7 12.Qh4 h6 13.Nd5 hg5 14.Qh8 Qa5 15.c3 Bg7 16.Qh7 Be6 and Rh8 where the white queen is lost ? white has to play 10.Be3, but after 10...Nd5 has little advantage....

	This is one of those weird cases where there hasn't really been any new analysis published on this line for years (that I'm aware of). For instance, Neil McDonald's book from 1995 has more analysis on it than Pinski's from 2001! Anyway, I don't know if it's sound or not, even though I'm played it myself in casual games. Black does have options, however, like 10...Be6. Sorry I can't be of more help.

	1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. d4 cxd4 4. Nxd4 e5 5. Nb5 d6 6. N1c3 a6 7. Na3 b5 8. Nd5 Nge7 9. Bg5 h6 10. Qh5 hxg5 11. Qxh8 Nxd5 12. exd5 Qa5+ (12... Nb4) (12... Ne7). Can black actually enjoy full compensation for the exchange in this variation? Which 12th move alternative is the best continuation?
