If I was white agianst the Dragon and played Bc4 I would avoid the Chinese by playing h4 or Bb3.

When Khalifman realises hes next book in the "Opening for white accordning to Anand" series we will see what he recommends for white. It will be very intresting since since former world champion Khalifman is an ex Dragoner.

My own statistics with black are very high but there are 3 types of lies namely lies, damm lies and statistics Smiley

What was Fischer's recipe against the Dragon?  Sac, sac, sac, mate?  That sounds like a good repertoire for White...   Wink

Then you didn't play me because I definitely score great in the Yugoslav with black!  Wink
Also general statistics are not that bad.

Well I might look some of my old games up this week (having moved the archive is somewhat lost). All I know is: push the g- and h-pawn and mate will arise on its own accord Grin
I usually play it with 9.0-0-0 btw.

You need a repertoire against the dragon? Shocked
Last time I checked it scores quite badly in the Yugoslav. Certainly in my games Wink

If im not wrong there is no way to beat the chinese variation

Perhaps they just want to show how to survive more than 20 moves with white or which blunders black can do Grin

Yusupov once said that “The problem with the Dutch Defence is that later in many positions the best move would be ...f5-f7” but he is surely wrong.

I just received Chessbase Magazine 117 and there is an article by Rogozenko called 'A repertoire for white against the dragon part 3'. This deals with the  ...Qa5 lines. Has anyone seen the previous parts of this article and what he recommends against the soltis and the chinese?
