Well, that's not really a question of opening theory.  Reading this board sometimes makes me wonder if people ever study books to learn about this kind of general stuff anymore.  But getting back to the question, I'd suggest the relevant section in Soltis' "Pawn Structure Chess" as a Maroczy Bind primer.

(Also, part of the question is a bit puzzling; "pressure on the d-pawn" sounds like you're referring to the "Scheveningen Maroczy," not the "Dragon Maroczy.")

Books? Are those printouts from the net?

For the bind I suggest looking at games of Peter Heine Nielsen and Tiviakov. They play this with black and thus it may be very interesting to see what they play with white.

If nothing else works, a total pig-headed unwillingness to look facts in the face will see us through.

Hi,

I wonder if someone could give a beginner at openings theory a briefing on the different ideas in the maroczy bind situation that can appear in the dragon. The main question is how white plays for a win?

From the games I have seen it doesn't seem enought with pressure against blacks d-pawn often white advances queenside or kingside pawns also. Why does he do this? Maybe there are some instructive games for me to look at that you know of.

Thanks!
