Normally you buy now for tomorrow Smiley So if you want to use your system for a longer time - you should be prepared for the future. 64-Bit will be in the next 2 years state-of-the-art. More than 4 GB of RAM also. Today for me it would be too expensive for the most Wink

Deep Junior is at the moment only available as 32-Bit software, Rybka multipro has an optimized version for 64-bit-processors. Deep Junior should be run on 64-bit-machine. 64-bit will be the future.

Salut,

it depends also on the RAM you wish to use. Vista 32-Bit can only use 4 GB RAM.

I am planning to buy an Intel Quad Core machine (Desktop - HP - Windows Vista) for analyzing chess games. I am planning to use Deep Junior and Rybka - multiprocessor versions.

Can you suggest whether I should go for a 32-bit machine or 64-bit machine ?
